Perugia
In
1499 the very powerful guild of the money changers in
Perugia decided to have its hall decorated by Pietro
Vannucci. This great Renaissance painter, better known as "Perugino"
created one of the most important masterpieces of
Renaissance art here, in the Collegio del Cambio .
It is
likely that the young Raphael, at the time trainee in the
workshop of Perugino, was involved in the fresco painting
together with the Master.
The Collegio del Cambio is located in the
heart of Perugia and represents one of the most important
visits of the town.
